Research and analysis of the trajectories of young First Nations subject to the Youth Protection Act (YPA, Section 3)

The main objective of this study is to document and understand the trajectory of services offered to First Nations youth and compare it to the rest of the Quebec population.

It identifies changes in these trajectories resulting from the modification of the legislation (Bill 125 - YPA) introduced in 2007. This objective is exploratory, as it is possible that the modifications may not have had any impact on the young people included in the study.

This research is conducted through the partnership of McGill University and a research committee composed of members of the MSSS, the FNQLHSSC, the ACJQ and McGill University.
