Reference framework on life projects for Aboriginal children

The reference framework on life projects for Aboriginal children is a response to the concerns and fears of communities in applying the legislative changes of the Youth Protection Act (YPA). It raises awareness among the interveners working with Aboriginal children and families to the historical, socio-economic and cultural realities of First Nations communities in Quebec.

The framework is also intended as a guide for interveners by providing, in particular, clinical guidelines adapted to the Aboriginal context for the development of life projects for Aboriginal children.

Target audience :

  • Directors of social services
  • Youth protection interveners
  • Interveners who work with at-risk youth
  • Québec network
